Dearborn Memorial Day Parade

The Dearborn Memorial Day Parade is one of the largest Memorial Day parades in the country and takes place on Monday, May 29. The parade has been a tradition in Dearborn, and is the oldest Memorial Day Parade with 97 years running, and attracts thousands of spectators each year. The parade features marching bands, military units, veterans groups, and community organizations. The parade route stretches for over a mile along Michigan Avenue and ends with a ceremony at the city’s War Memorial. The event is a way to honor the sacrifices of the men and women who have served in the armed forces.
